Alta Architectural Woodwork was founded in 2018 by Aloisio Nunes and Tania, who combined the initials of their names (AL and TA) to create a family-owned business. The company began by providing professional installation services for large construction projects, building a strong foundation in the carpentry and millwork industry.
In 2024, Alta took an important step forward by establishing its own warehouse and starting in-house production, allowing greater control over quality and delivery. Today, Alta is recognized as one of Central Florida’s leading commercial millwork and finish carpentry providers, supporting large-scale healthcare and commercial projects.
With advanced engineering through Microvellum, skilled shop fabrication, and reliable installation crews, Alta delivers high-end architectural woodwork solutions with precision, speed, and a long-term partnership approach.
In the beginning, our small operation focused on local homeowners and small commercial projects. However, by the early 1990s, we had expanded to specialize exclusively in commercial services for local general contractors.
Our commercial expertise first came to light through projects like the Charlotte County Vocational Center and the Palm Island Resort in Southwest Florida.
Our geographic reach has grown significantly, extending beyond Florida to Pennsylvania in the north and as far west as Texas. To enhance our capabilities and offer a more comprehensive service to our clients, we now supply custom millwork and manufacture solid surface countertops at our facility. Additionally, we provide SEFA-certified wood and steel laboratory casework solutions. These expansions in both geography and services have fueled our growth, with sales increasing from $6.5 million in 2004 to over $21 million by 2014.
Our team includes experienced sales representatives and estimators for projects of all sizes, skilled draftspersons for product submittals and material optimization, and project managers to oversee scheduling and costs. This project team can also provide design services for both casework and solid surface countertops.
Surface products are manufactured in-house, ensuring quality assurance and just-in-time production. Our full-service installation team is responsible for acquiring the finished products and executing on-site installations, completing the final phase of the project.
